Jazzical Music intends to:
- work with universities and colleges to develop powerful multimedia databases that allow for the electronic study and preservation of manuscripts and other source material for original music compositions
- encourage young people to become musicologists
- create software that other composers can use to organize and preserve their music
- develop programs that allow grade schools and high schools to gain access to high quality, inexpensive original music by modern composers
- make the music of modern composers more accessible to orchestras and other performance groups
- develop methodologies to minimize the devastating effect of software obsolescence on composers songwriters, and arrangers who need to migrate their music to different operating systems and programs every few years
- develop non-electronic means to preserve manuscripts and other source material for original music compositions
- train composers how to use software to preserve their own music
- create a network of cooperatives that serve the needs of composers, songwriters, and arrangers to preserve and publish their printed works
