The Art of "The Score"
On March 6, 2016, the University City Symphony Orchestra in St. Louis, MO will perform all four movements of "The Score", including Clovice Lewis playing the cello solo movement. As part of a "Black Art Matters" program, schools in the area will be holding contests for students to create their own drawings, paintings, and screenplays to accompany "The Score". The idea is to have the art projected behind the orchestra during the performance. This page celebrates the creative visions and contributions of other artists to "The Score".
Adrianna Oberg
Some time around May of 2015, Clovice invited a very fine local artist in Ukiah, CA named Adrianna Oberg to make drawings of her impressions of "The Score". She produces exquisite drawings in a dreamlike Renaissances style, so I thought it would be interesting to see what she creates. Adrianna flagged Clovice down at a coffee shop on Monday, August 24, 2015 and handed him these two stunning ink drawings! She told Clovice they do not relate to any particular movement. She also told him that she wants to create more drawings.
